With DIRECT SELECT you can use the selector lever behind the steering wheel to change gears, or you can shift the gears manually using the paddles on the steering wheel. Perfect roadholding characteristics are achieved with the optional AIRMATIC package (standard for ML 420 CDI, ML 500 and ML 63 AMG) which includes AIRMATIC air suspension and the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) for sporty handling with impressive comfort.
