There are four different engines available for the SLK, all with one thing in common: they make every drive in your SLK an exhilarating experience. And thanks to the vehicle’s generous 70-litre fuel tank and the range which it makes possible, you can be sure to enjoy every moment of motoring to the full.

Take for a start the SLK 200 KOMPRESSOR with its output increased by 15 kW (21 hp) to 135 kW (184 hp), which drives the SLK with agility and dynamism and impresses with a restrained but sonorous sound. Its consumption has also been reduced by 12.6 percent.

For even sportier driving, you can choose between two 6-cylinder engines: the SLK 280 and the new, still more temperamental SLK 350 sports engine. The SLK 280 generates an output of 170 kW (231 hp); the SLK 350 kicks off with an impressive 224 kW (305 hp) and features a high-speed concept with up to 7200 revolutions per minute. Both 6-cylinder engines fascinate with the full sound typical of these engines and deliver more than enough power to provide you with pure driving enjoyment.

The SLK 55 AMG offers the strongest engine in its segment. It impresses not only with the particularly powerful sound of its naturally aspirated V8 engine but with the constant power delivery of its 265 kW (360 hp) and a phenomenal rated torque of 510 Nm.
